Why Donate
Michael’s Gate conducts a leadership program and retreat for ten to twelve year old children that builds self-awareness and self-esteem and provides each child the opportunity to learn the importance of the unique role they play in their families, with friends, and in their schools. While there are other leadership programs, available, very few address this early age group. We feel it is important to support youth at these formative years as they begin to understand who they are and what they stand for, and to have the confidence to "speak up" for themselves with dignity and respect.
General Contributions
As a not-for-profit organization we rely on volunteers and donations from individuals like yourself to cover a portion of our costs. These funds used for a variety of things, such as supplies, facilitators, and scholarships for select children, will enable these children to leave Michael’s Gate with a newfound sense of their own leadership strengths and the confidence to use them
Sponsor a Child
If you desire your contribution may go directly to our scholarship fund. Many of the children who would benefit from this leadership camp do not have the means to pay the camp fee of $725.00. You can designate whether your donation will go to a specific camper or to the scholarship fund.
